Meet Shaye + Carson! There are truly no words to describe the sweetness + beauty of their wedding day! Tears were shed + so many magical memories were made. Their BEST DAY EVER was filled with so many dreamy rental moments, lush floral arrangements, sweet family + friends that were so eager to celebrate the couple, and the most fun dance party to end the night!
Here’s their story - “Shaye and I first met at Texas Tech University in the fall of 2017, thanks to Hannah (my sister-in-law). BYX put on an event called Barn Dance and Shaye showed up there and I knew the first time I saw her in person I wanted to ask her out. We both weren’t looking to date at that time but when we met, we knew we would make an exception for each other. That year we had the best time dating, it was Shaye’s freshman year and my senior year, and we divided up our time eating dorm food, spending time at the ranch, and playing countless hours of Monopoly Deal with my roommates who are all my groomsman now. The next couple years brought a lot of trial with Shaye’s diagnosis. If you would have told me three and a half years ago that I would get to marry Shaye one day, I would’ve said we serve a pretty awesome God. No matter what life throws at us, I thank God I get to be the one cheering her on!”
We stand in good company alongside so many beautiful companies across the DFW area. So, we always feel so honored when couples choose to spend such a special day with us at The Emerson! We love hearing what drew them to us - “After seeing The Emerson I immediately knew it was the place I wanted to get married! The chapel, the patio with the string lights, all the windows in the reception room…the list goes on and on! It looks modern and dreamy but feels intimate which is exactly what we were wanting. Not to mention all the people that work there make it such an amazing experience!”
S + C’s wedding was a total dream day! When we asked them what one of their favorite moments was, S said - “It’s hard to pick a favorite but Carson and I constantly talk about how much fun we had dancing and celebrating with all the people we love most!”
We loved S’s advice for all those who are currently planning - “Planning all the details is so fun but can get stressful when you have a certain way you want everything to look but what I hold most dear from my wedding day are the letters that were shared, the moments getting ready with my girls, and just being surround by all our family and friends. So just remember to focus on the relationships and people more than stressing about the little details because at the end of the day that’s what is most memorable!”

She made my vision come to life better than I could have imagined! The person that captured it all was Abby Shadle and I am blown away by her work. She makes taking photos feel natural and she was also just so much fun to work with!
