Meet Jasmyn + David! We were so fond of them from the moment that they stepped foot onsite for their tour. They were so kind + lovable! We are still pinching ourselves that we got to be a part of their BEST DAY EVER!
Here’s their love story - “David and I met at a Christian youth camp (Stoney Creek Ranch) in the summer of 2017. During that summer we gained a strong friendship that I knew would last forever. For the second term of the summer I had to go back home to train for my upcoming collegiate season, however David and I talked everyday after I left camp. One day, David sent me a GIF that said “I like you a lot” and the rest was mere bliss. I guess it turned out that I liked him more than I originally planned! After doing long distance for 3 years, David planned a surprise proposal at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas, Texas. To our surprise it was during a worldwide pandemic and right before a major protest in the Dallas area (this will be a great story to tell our kids someday :) ).”
We are always so humbled + excited when couples choose to spend one of the most special day of their lives with us! Here’s what drew J + D to choosing our venue - “The Emerson was everything we could have imagined and so much more! The matchless and timeless minimalistic aesthetic of the chapel and event space gave us an open canvas to make our wedding everything we wanted it to be. After viewing their Instagram page and falling in love with all of their pictures, I knew from the moment I spoke with the staff and stepped foot on the grounds that The Emerson was going to be our wedding venue! Another major thing that drew us in was the intentionality of the staff and how they were always willing and asking how they could pray for us!”
We loved hearing J’s favorite part of her wedding day - “My favorite and most memorable part of our wedding day was when David and I stepped back from the dance floor and watched our guests dance and laugh and have a great time together.” It’s so important + valuable to really soak in the moments because wedding days truly go by so fast!
A lot of times, you’re bound to experience some kind of hiccup or stress during the wedding planning process… J encouraged all those who are currently in the midst of planning to “not stress over things you cannot control!” Everything always comes together on the day of the wedding and you’ll most likely not even remember the little things that may have gone wrong!
Congratulations again J + D! We hope that marriage has been the absolute sweetest! Thank you again for choosing us to be a part of your big day!
