Meet Kristin + Daniel! What’s not to love when it comes to these two!? They’re the stinking sweetest + we pretty much haven’t stopped freaking out over how beautiful their wedding was since that sunshine-filled day in February! They were so much fun to celebrate! They chose such a talented + kind group of vendors to execute all the details, our hearts were bursting over how gorgeous their color palette was, they had the happiest CL Rental moments happening throughout the venue, and Tayler Gray was their wedding planner! I mean seriously, such a dream day!
K + D’s story: “They always say you find someone when you least expect it. I like to think my guardian angels had him already picked out for me though. Neither of us were really actively looking, but we had a mutual friend who had been whispering in our ears about each other. We both attended Texas A&M at the same time but never crossed paths. Daniel like any good investigator went to instagram to do a little more research on me. I had just posted a picture of the other love of my life, my husky Tayvs. He eventually made the first move complementing me on her. Smart move Daniel. We got to talking and found we had a lot in common. So I gave him a shot and we went on a first date to mini golf. Fast forward almost 3.5 years later and we've become each other’s best friend. We’ve traveled the world together and hope to continue to, stopping at every coffee shop and gym along the way.”
Cue the tears! We loved reading about what drew them to choosing The Emerson for their best day: “We knew we wanted something that felt like “home.” A space that was personal and intimate but could fit all our friends and family. From the chapel to the reception it just felt like the greatest celebration in the most beautiful space. Leading up to the day the Emerson sent us prayers and words that made us feel like more than just customers. We felt as though our day was a part of their story too. We couldn’t have been more grateful for The Emerson or their staff genuinely investing into our marriage.”
We are living for K + D’s favorite moment from their wedding day! “Honestly, we’ve both agreed the favorite part of our day was getting to the altar and realizing neither of us had our rings. Before walking into the chapel, I leaned to my brother and said I think we forgot the rings. He replied nah Im sure someone way more important than us remembered. As the pastor asked us to exchange rings we both looked at each other and just laughed. Many thought it was a joke, even the pastor. But my aunt lent us her mothers ring for the ceremony. It only fitting on Daniels pinky was the sweetest and most hilarious moment. It couldn’t have been more us.”
Time and time again, our previous couples always encourage those who are currently planning to not stress the small stuff! Seems simple, but it really is easy to get overwhelmed by all the decision making that wedding planning encompasses. Just remember the big picture + that you are finally marrying your person! “Don’t stress the little things or let anything ruin the joy you feel about your day. Many girls have this idea of how they want things to look or turn out, I know I was one of them. Truthfully, you may even have vendor mishaps but at the end of the day and years from now you’ll remember all the special moments not the things that went wrong.”
