J + D
Jayce + DJ got married here at the end of November, right as our trees were turning colors for the fall. The weather was perfect, the vendor team was a dream, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect day! We had the most fun getting to be a part of their celebration!
Here’s their story – “Actually, this was an arranged marriage… no I’m just kidding!! Our parents are best friends and have been dreaming of the moment that my life and DJ’s life would cross paths. It just so happened that they happen to cross at just the right time. We started going on dates in November of 2019, and by Christmas that same year, we both knew we had found our person. I have always prayed for my future husband. That he would check all my non negotiable boxes from loving the Lord, respecting me, and making me laugh. What I didn’t know, is that the Lord would have given me so much more in DJ! He blessed me with my best friend and the most secure man of God, and I can’t wait to see how much our relationship continues to grow in marriage.”
“I was drawn to the Emerson when I saw Emily Callison (E + B) get married here. I’ve always wanted a unique venue that felt intimate, yet was big enough to hold all of my friends and family. I also LOVED the fact that there is a chapel on the property. Being able to say “I do” or as DJ said, “I promise” in front of the Lord in a chapel, was such a blessing. Not to mention… that back patio was a good time!!”

Hearing which moments our couples cherished the most throughout their wedding day will forever be one of our favorite things. “The most memorable moment of the day was when DJ and I got to pray outside the chapel before the ceremony. All of my nerves from the day disappeared as soon as I held his hand and heard him pray. My favorite part of the day was dancing with all of my friends and family while holding my iced Christmas spiced latte from Nightowl. I’ll never forget it!”
Here is J’s advice to anybody who is currently planning their wedding – “Have FUN with it! The process can be so stressful, but remembering that at the end of the day you will be married to your person makes it a little easier. Also… don’t be afraid to delegate. If it wasn’t for my mom and Hunter Orcutt, I’m not sure ANYTHING would’ve gotten done!”
Congratulations again to the Pruitts! Words fall short when it comes to expressing how grateful we are that we got to be a part of this special day! This is was such a fun celebration + we are so glad that we get to relive it over and over again through this gorgeous gallery from Lo & Co Media! The whole vendor team was a dream to work with!
