Minimalist details, Taylor Swift lyrics, Nightowl Coffee Cart, black + white color palette, and a sparkler exit? We’ve got a couple of Swifties here on staff at The Emerson, so needless to say Hannah + Jonathan’s February wedding was one of our favorites! Despite the snowpocalypse that hit Texas that weekend, H danced her way through the storm in her best dress with J!
You know we love a love story! Here’s H + J’s – “We met our junior year of high school in our US History class. Our teacher put us next to each other on the seating chart. He got my snapchat and the rest was history 😉 We’ve been best friends since then and it has been so fun to grow up together. We’ve gone through high school, college, graduating, starting new jobs and now: marriage!”
“The moments leading up to our wedding were incredibly stressful (aka getting married the weekend of the infamous Texas blizzard) The entire morning I remember feeling so scared and anxious about people not coming, moving everything indoors, and being cold. When we got to the venue and I saw all of our family, friends and awesome vendors getting ready and setting up- I was instantly relieved. I knew it would be okay because Jonathan and I were about to finally get married and the most important people in our lives were there to celebrate with us. After we left that night, all we could talk about was how much fun we had dancing, laughing and just seeing everyone that has been a part of our journey there with us. One of my favorite parts was when our DJ gave me the microphone to sing “Shake it Off” by Taylor Swift and all of our people surrounded us and danced with us.”
A planning tip from H to all couples who are currently in the process – “Pick the few things that are most important to you, and book those first! Don’t stress too much about all the little things. There were so many things I was stressed out over, but on the day I didn’t give them a second thought. The day truly will be the best day ever no matter what happens, because you’re marrying your best friend and the most important parts come after!”
Congratulations again, H + J! This night was flawless, don’t you let it go 😉 Okay, last T-Swift quote, we promise! We hope you are soaking up every moment in this season as newlyweds.
