Meet Hanna + Daniel! Their October wedding was full to the brim of fun details that represented them both! Our absolute favorite weddings are the ones that feel like a reflection of the couple. H + D’s wedding was the perfect example of that! We loved all the golf references, floral moments, the ways that they styled our rentals, and of course, the trolley! Their wedding was so FUN!
Here’s their love story - “Daniel and I’s love story started my freshman year at Dallas Baptist University (in 2016). Daniel was a Senior and I was a Freshman, both on the golf team at DBU. We bonded over our devotion to God, the love for the game of golf, and our taste in music. We both come from tight knit families so spending quality time with our families has always been at the fore front for both of us. For the first year of knowing each other we grew our friendship, no thoughts of dating, just becoming best friends and enjoying spending time with one another. Our relationship changed my sophomore year of college when we began to see each other as something more, something that could last forever. We have been together ever since. (5 years last November)I truly can say that I married my best friend.”
We’ll never get tired over hearing what drew our couples to choosing to spend their big day with us! Here’s what H + D said - “What drew us to the Emerson was definitely the Chapel. It is elegant, and beautiful yet personal and romantic. It also felt fitting because at DBU we went to chapel in a big beautiful white chapel 2x a week for 5 years. So why not keep the chapel theme going ha! The Emerson was the only venue we visited. Once we saw it, it was a no brainer. We wanted that intimate feeling while still being able to invite 150 of our closest friends and family.”
From the start to end, wedding days carry so many magical, memorable moments! It’s always so fun for us to hear about what moments stood out the most to our couples! “Our favorite part of the wedding day was being on the dance floor with all our friends and family! I don’t think I’ve ever danced so much in my life. But it was so fun being surrounded by all our best friends singing along to every song. Daniel and I even got thrown in the air at one point on our friends shoulders. There was even a point where my dad came out on the dance floor and sang Don’t Stop Believin with me in a big circle of our friends. What makes it is being able to be under outside under the stars and the lights.”
H was so kind to include some advice for those who are currently in the midst of planning their weddings - “Don’t stress out about the little things. I unfortunately did and I let certain things get to me when nobody else even noticed. As long as you have good food, music and great people surrounding you then you are golden!! Also, trust the Emerson vendor list because they refer the best of the best!! I truly felt like the staff at the Emerson cared for us and wanted to help make it the BEST DAY EVER!”
