Meet Megan + Eric! From the moment they booked all the way through their wedding day, they were such a dream to work with! After seeing their vendor line up, we knew we were in for an insanely special day! Our girl, Tayler Gray Events planned + executed all the details. We are so grateful for the layers of peace she adds to every wedding day! Hannah Willis Creative brought all the magical blooms + MadShew Media captured it all so flawlessly!
Here’s their love story - “Eric and I met in college at Abilene Christian University. We had always known of each other, but our paths never crossed. When we returned to campus after the summer of 2020, we officially met through a lake weekend with some mutual friends. Immediately, I knew that there was something special! It was kind of scary at first knowing that this relationship was about to change our lives forever! Eric would be mad if I left out the part where I friend-zoned him (LOL). But luckily, I can say that it worked out for the best knowing how our story goes! Pretty early on in our dating relationship, Eric and I both knew that continuing our relationship into marriage was what we were called to do. Fast forward two years, and now we are The Wimpee's! We moved into our first house together in Downtown Rockwall and experiencing many "firsts" together as newlyweds! And so our love story continues!”
What drew M + E to choosing The Emerson for their big day - “From the very first picture that I ever saw of the Emerson, I was IN LOVE! The Emerson is beautiful on its own, and that is what drew me to it the most. The Emerson is classy, modern, and much more. It's whatever you want it to be, there is never the same wedding twice and I LOVE that! Besides its gorgeous building, the staff is hands down the kindest and most special people I got to work with throughout the wedding planning process!”
From the moment everyone stepped foot onsite at the venue on M + E’s big day up until the butterfly confetti grand exit, this day held so much magic! We loved hearing which moments M + E cherished most - “The most special part of our wedding day was our ceremony. It was a beautiful time to dedicate our relationship before God and all our closest friends and family. It was truly so special! Our favorite part of our wedding day was the dance party, OF COURSE!”
M’s advice to anybody who is currently planning - “My advice for future brides is don't be afraid to make it your own! Do what you like, eat what you like, and don't be afraid of color! For example, my cake was PINK! AND HAD A BOW!!!!! She was seriously stunning!!!!!!!”
