Meet Alyssa + Landon! The details of their wedding day had us SO giddy. Balloon installations, arched backdrops + custom signage, disco balls, dream dress, beautiful florals – they thought of it all! It was such a happy day + a beautiful reflection of their bubbly, joy-filled relationship! We couldn’t have been happier to host their special day in our space.
Here’s their story – “Landon had just moved to Dallas to begin his career, and l was teaching first grade in Frisco. We met just before the stay-at-home order had come into place because of Covid. With both of our jobs transitioning to remote work, the beginning of our relationship consisted of lots of extra time together and casual order take-out dates! It was so fun getting to know each other more during such unique times. We connected especially through discussion about our faith in Christ. It didn’t take too long for us to realize that we wanted to forever be together! We booked May 30th as our date at The Emerson, and it truly was the best day ever.”
“We loved so many things about The Emerson. After finding this venue on Instagram, we realized it was the perfect venue for us! First of all, the modern and minimalist style was just the right blank canvas for my creative ideas! Also, we appreciated the freedom we had to fully select our own vendor team, which allowed us to make decisions that helped us stay within our budget. The size of The Emerson was additionally a huge plus, because it would accommodate a small, medium, or larger guest count during the unknown restrictions ahead. The people that work there also make us feel like we are their only couple, because they were always so helpful!” Above all else, our biggest prayer over our clients is that they feel so served + loved after spending time in our space or working with our team.
We loved hearing A + L’s favorite moments from their wedding day because both point back to what the whole day is about – their love for one another. “For L, the private dance at the end of the night! (The only country song of the day 😉) For A, the first look, which we did in the chapel.” It’s so easy to get caught up in all the details – we love when couples carve out time to be together just the two of them!
One of the biggest pieces of advice that our brides always give to those who are currently planning is to stay true to YOU throughout the wedding planning process! “It’s okay to not do everything traditionally! We went a bit more unconventional in a few ways that we just saw fit for us, and we loved every moment of it. Don’t worry about the expectations of everyone else. Pray together, focus on each other’s desires for what wedding day will entail, and keep Christ at the center!”
