Meet Amber + Jeremy! We had the pleasure of hosting their sweet wedding day this past summer, and we absolutely loved watching them be surrounded + celebrated by the sweetest group of friends + family. Their wedding was full of the pinkest of details – the bride is a fashion designer + freelance stylist, and even designed her own florals!
“Our story began in 2016 when we met in college. Jeremy spent too much time in the library studying and I spent too much time in the library coffee shop not studying. Our first real date was a Blackbear/Hoody Allen concert, and Jeremy instantly became my favorite human. He was that wild dirtbike guy I had always wanted, and I was the quiet girl getting a fashion degree. We were a true Avril Lavigne love song, but it just wasn’t meant to be at the time. We went our separate ways for a while, but rejoined forces a few months later on Jeremy’s 21st birthday. We were truly inseparable from then on. We spent every Tuesday at late night dirtbike practice, going on adventures while we were supposed to be studying, and learning what it really meant to want someone forever. We spent the next 4 years living life like a party, and now we can’t wait to celebrate with you.”
It means the absolute world to us that couples trust us with such an important day in their life. We love hearing about what drew them to us – “I knew from the second I saw photos of The Emerson that it would be where I would get married. A wedding was no where in sight, but I spent 2-3 years melting over every photo posted. I got engaged + less than a week later had our date booked! Getting married in a simple white chapel has always been a dream. I love The Emerson for its simplicity – it’s so classic and timeless. The lighting is magical and I know it’ll be exactly the way I’ve always pictured.”
“One of the most memorable moments from our wedding day was getting ready with everyone before the wedding. It was so special to have that time with our closest friends and family, making sure everyone had a straight bow tie and the perfect shade of pink eyeshadow. Intimate moments like this made our wedding day truly ours.”
“My biggest piece of advice would be to slow down and enjoy it! It’s so easy to get wrapped up and lose yourself to flower orders and food choices. These are important but not the only reason you will be showing up that day. My next best advice is to listen to yourself and your partner. It is not your in-laws or family friends’ wedding. Stay true to what you want for your day!”
