Meet Alyssa + David! Their BEST DAY EVER was stunning. We had the hardest time narrowing down some of our favorite photos from their gallery (seriously, we favorited almost 250 photos!!!). After seeing the vendors A + D chose for their big day, we knew that we were in for a lot of gorgeous, intentional details! And wow, did they deliver!!! We’re still swooning over their dreamy tablescapes, lush floral installations, neutral color palette, and champagne tower!
Here’s their story - “David and I met while working in the hospital. I am a NICU nurse and he would rotate through my hospital as a neonatologist fellow. We had known each other for around 2 years before we started dating. We ended up working closely together on a really sick baby. The baby ended up doing really well and got to go home. After that time spent together, David began pursuing me outside of work. We realized we made a pretty good team. We both patiently waited and prayed for our spouse. We trusted God and his timing in our lives.”
We’re almost four years into running this wedding venue and we still get overwhelmed with gratitude + excitement whenever couples choose to spend one of the most special days of their lives with us! Here’s what drew A + D to choosing The Emerson - “I loved the modern style of The Emerson. It was the perfect mix between mine and David’s style. The chapel is really what drew me in. It is so quaint and airy it felt like heaven.”
With a day as dreamy as A + D’s BEST DAY EVER, there were countless memorable + lovely moments. We loved getting to ask A what one of her top memories from her wedding day was! “My favorite part was the first look with David. His reaction was so sweet. He teared up and I felt all the feels. We exchanged vows and gifts together privately and it was just the sweetest, best time. I truly loved every part of that day and wish I could relive it.”
As well intentioned as friends + family are when it comes to helping you plan your wedding day, it’s important to not be swayed by their opinions when it comes to making decisions for your big day. A’s encouragement to those who are planning now is, “stay true to your style and vibe. Try not to be influenced by your friends and family’s opinions.” Our desire is always that your wedding day would feel like a reflection of your relationship with your significant other!
Congratulations again A + D! Words fall short when it comes to describing how beautiful your wedding day was + how honored we feel that we got to be a part of it.
