Minimal + Modern Styled Shoot

We’ll be reliving the magic + beauty from this styled shoot that was hosted in our space this summer for many days to come. The whole vendor team was so kind + lovely to work with! We are so grateful + felt so honored that they chose to bring their vision to life at The Emerson! We got the opportunity to chat with Kyra Noel Photo about the process of planning the styled shoot + her experience of working alongside such awesome vendors!

The vision for the shoot: “Our inspiration for the shoot was a modern, minimalistic theme with lots of whites + clean colors with some fun elements such as disco balls + a champagne tower. With the shoot being in Texas, I knew I also wanted to throw in a cowboy hat and get a few more western feel photos as well. Styled shoots for me personally, are a time to be super creative and do something I don’t always get to do on wedding days + I spent a lot of time playing with direct light and flash which was a huge inspiration draw for me.”

What drew Kyra to choosing our space: “I have followed Emerson on social media for a long time and it has always been a bucket list venue for me. The beauty of the chapel and venue as a whole speaks for itself - but I have also always admired the staff and their willingness to pour their hearts into what they do and love people well. I love that they incorporate their faith into their business and are constantly supporting others and being such an encouragement to the community around them.”

Kyra’s favorite part of working alongside the other vendors: “Every single vendor we got to work with for this shoot not only exceeded my dreams for the vision and work being put into it but also were just incredible humans. I am so thankful for the wedding vendor community and was extra thankful to make some new friends through this styled shoot. It felt like such a dream to see how everything came together and how all of the planning paid off.”
