Meet The Hendersons!
FUN FACT: Taylor + Logan actually won our Beis bag + one night stay at the Canvas Hotel giveaway back at our Vendor Open House back in August! When we announced the winner, they were nowhere to be found! So, we ran around the venue to look for them, and found them alone in the chapel practicing how loud they should share their vows during their wedding ceremony. LOL, once we told them they won, they were PUMPED and ran back in the house to grab their goodies! They were so much fun + their energy was just so magnetic! That same vibe absolutely reflected in their wedding day through their boho-modern details and epic reception!
Here’s their story – “We met at my sorority’s winter formal in November 2018. Logan had gone with a group of his friends, and we ended up meeting through mutuals. I (Taylor) was instantly struck by how funny, carefree, friendly, and handsome he was. While Logan, according to him, immediately took notice of how “kind, hilarious, lively, and gorgeous” I was. We both left an impression on each other, but lost touch for a bit after formal. Logan left for Navy bootcamp a few days later, moving to Connecticut shortly after. It wasn’t until March 2019 that we got back in touch. Logan had sent me a message to see how I was doing. From there, we started talking on the phone every day. We went on our first date when he came home for leave in May of that same year, and I’ve been SO in love ever since! We’ve been through 4 deployments, different time zones, and thousands of miles of separation since we’ve been together, but he makes it all worth it.”
We cannot say enough how honored + grateful we feel whenever couples choose to host such an incredibly special day in their lives at The Emerson. This is what T + L had to say whenever we asked what drew them to picking us – “We were drawn to The Emerson because of the VIBE! We loved how peaceful and intentional it felt. Once we went on our tour, we knew that this place was the perfect representation of us. We knew that we could really make this space our own for our big day. And we LOVED the people we met through the Emerson!!! They are truly the kindest people. We were IMMENSELY blessed to work with such loving and people and to be a part of such an incredible space.”
Wedding days are filled to the brim with so many precious, sacred moments. We always love asking our couples which moments stuck out the most to them. Here’s T + L’s – “We have SO many special moments from our day. We were blessed enough to have our sweet friend, Carter, officiate our ceremony. He had recently finished chemotherapy treatment, so having him play such a pivotal role in our day truly meant the world. One of our favorite memories from our day came right after our ceremony. After Logan and I exited the chapel, we had some one-on-one time to just hold each other and shed some very happy tears. The joy in the realization that we were finally married hit us both in that moment, and it was so beautiful.”
“Our biggest piece of advice is to keep love at the center of your planning. Planning will inevitably get stressful, but it’s always so important to remember the purpose behind it: being united by God in a life with YOUR person! Take a deep breath, ask for help, and CHOOSE THE EMERSON AS YOUR VENUE!!!”
