Meet Katerine + Edwin! We could tangibly feel their love + adoration for one another all day long on their wedding day! We were obsessed with the minimalist approach they took with their decor. The reception tables were adorned in the most lovely green garland + white floating candles and the greenery installation in the chapel was the perfect pop of color to frame K + E during their ceremony!
Here’s their love story - “The story began from opposite continents more than five years ago. Katerine was born and raised in Honduras, while Edwin traveled to various countries doing ministry work with his family. Different reasons but with a common purpose, both landed in Texas. A couple more years passed, and they found each other in a very untraditional way (blink), but it is a new thing now. They chatted for a couple of weeks before the first date. Edwin asked her for lunch, and they both decided it would be easy for him to travel to Waxahachie. Blind dates aren't easy, but she greeted him with a kiss on the cheek and a hug, and Edwin thought, "Oh yes, she is the one" I mean..a hug on the initial visit before buying lunch? How could you say no? He thought Katerine wanted to kiss him, and after a couple of dates, he brought it up, and she said, "you wish." The second date was just a few days later, and he couldn't stop thinking about her. They decided to go bowling; you can guess who won the game and a free pizza for hitting the winning pin. Free food and a woman who knows how to win on a second date, "Yes!" she is a keeper! Even though they were born and raised on different continents, they have many things in common. God is the foundation of this relationship, their morals, and values. They can't believe how alike they are and how similar they evolve by being together. If you know them, they are constantly chasing new restaurants, coffee places, or ice cream shops. How they both have honored their families and respected each other differences have been their bond.”
What drew K + E to choosing The Emerson for their big day - “Before our engagement, I saw a post about The Emerson chapel and instantly fell in love. We visited six venues, and The Emerson was our seventh. When I entered the Chapel, I felt relieved and at peace. I took a step back during our tour and listened to him more. I prayed during the tour for his heart to align with mine if that was God's will. We finished and walked onto the patio, and he told me: "I believe this is it." God has placed us in the right place at the right time. Besides, we appreciate tons of the love and tiny details during our tour.”
