Meet Allie + Blake! This insanely sweet couple had us wrapped around their finger from the moment they stepped foot on our property to tour! We absolutely adore them + we are just so grateful that we got to play a small part in celebrating them! Their wedding day was a neutral-lovers dream! We loved all the creamy accents, dried florals, and pops of contrast! What a dream day!
Here’s their love story - “Allie and Blake met at their high school during his junior and her sophomore year. Shortly after meeting, they went on their first date on January 6, 2018. They dated throughout their high school years where he played baseball, and she ran track and cross country. Their years of dating in high school were so joyful and sweet that they couldn't part when it came time for Blake to go to college. In August of 2019, they began long distance as Blake headed to school at Wichita State in Kansas. Allie would fly up to see him once a month during her senior year of high school. At the end of her senior year, Allie decided to attend the University of Kansas, a 2.5 hour drive from Blake. They continued to visit each other each frequently throughout their years in Kansas. In those years they played mini golf, sought out new restaurants, watched lots of sports, went on walks, and ate tons of Andy's ice cream! As five years have gone by this last January, they have had so much fun finding creative ways to be intentional in dating, walking in community with their dearest friends, and rejoicing in God's provision through it all. Throughout different life seasons, A + B have fostered the sweetest friendship within their relationship. Both Allie and Blake graduated college this May and are overjoyed to be getting married and moving back to Dallas! What a joy it has been to experience God's grace and love in our relationship, and we are expectant for what He has for us in marriage!”
What drew A + B to choosing The Emerson for their big day - “Allie found The Emerson's Instagram page and immediately fell in love! When Allie and Blake went to tour the venue, she was crossing her fingers hoping he would love it as much as she did. And he did! As homebodies who love to host, A + B loved that their wedding at the Emerson would feel like a big house party with their closest friends. As a whole, the venue is absolutely stunning, but it was all of the unique intimate spaces that really sold it for them. They could envision the sweet moments and conversations that would take place between their guests on their special day. They also loved the simplicity, yet uniqueness The Emerson displayed. While keeping a clean and crisp color palette, fun light fixtures and building textures really brings this space to life. Lastly, THE PEOPLE! The Emerson team was so kind from the moment A + B set foot on the grounds. Allie and Blake just knew the team would make their day so special and sweet!”
