Meet Erica + Jamie! We received SO many messages from people freaking out + swooning over all the details we posted on our Instagram story the day of E + J’s wedding day. Our TikTok featuring some behind the scenes from their big day also blew up! Their wedding has gotten so much love.. and FOR GOOD REASON! They thought of everything!! The matching Free People onesies, the COLORS, the vibrant florals, E’s wedding dress, the rentals from CL x EMERSON, the vintage cake - this wedding had it all!! To top it all off, E + J are two of the most genuine, fun, adorable, precious people we’ve ever met! We are still reeling over the fact that we got to be a part of their magical day!
Here is their love story - “Jamie + I met the summer going into our junior year of college at the University of Oklahoma. I had just walked in to my second time at bible study in our pastors home (who is now officiating our wedding) when Jamie walked in! From the moment I saw him I knew I was going to marry him - he felt like an old friend. We only shared a few words that night, so I later asked him if he would want to go grab coffee together & he said yes! (YAY!)! As a typical college boy, Jamie slept through that coffee date on accident and ended up asking me for ice cream that night. We sat in the Braum's parking lot and talked for hours - still my favorite night to this day. Later that week Jamie invited me to his BYX date party in OKC and (long story short) we ended up with floor tickets at a Hillsong concert. It felt like we were in a rom com + we both knew that this was something special. We would stay up and watched the sunrise because we truly couldn't get enough of one another. Fast forward a month later, he asked me to be his girlfriend in the Wichita Mountains in southern Oklahoma . We dated throughout college, took some time apart, and came back together! Jamie is my bestfriend and we can't believe what the Lord has done in the two of us over the past few years. We look forward to a lifetime of growing and deepen our relationship with each other and our Creator. I can't wait to grow old with Jamie. :)”
What drew E + J to choosing The Emerson for their big day - “The home. We wanted a place where our people could walk in and feel connected + comfortable. Jesus in the gospels invited people into homes and shared meals with them and we really wanted to do the same on our day.”
