Meet Lauren + Austin! How can we possibly sum up all of our love + adoration for this sweet couple!?! They are magic + just so, very lovely! Their hearts are so kind + it was such an honor being a small part in their big day. Every detail from their wedding truly incapsulated all the beauty that is L +A! Just looking back through their gallery is making us fall in love with them all over again!
L + A’s love story - “We met online after both of our friends convinced us to sign up for a dating app. When we finally met up for a coffee date we both immediately felt connected and as if we had known each other for years. Our late morning coffee date turned into hanging out the rest of the day. We went to vintage shops and record stores and ended the day sitting on the couch sharing music and chatting. We hung out every day after that for 2 whole weeks. I remember after only a few weeks of dating Austin, a friend of mine asked where she thought our relationship was going. I told her that I wouldn’t be surprised if we ended up getting married but if we didn’t, I hoped to marry someone exactly like him. Fast forward about 2 years later, Austin proposed to me on the stage of Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth. It was one of the most memorable and special moments of our lives.”
What drew them to choosing The Emerson for their best day - “Of course we loved the elegant beauty of the venue. We were so drawn to the simplicity of the Emerson and felt so inspired by all the different ways to personalize the space. But even more than the aesthetics of the property, we loved every single person we met at the Emerson. It was so apparent that they truly care for their couples and have a passion for what they do. All of the Emerson ladies immediately welcomed us with so much love. The Emerson was the first and only venue we toured. We knew immediately that God wanted us to get married here.”
It should be no surprise that this beautiful day was full of memorable moments from beginning to end! We loved hearing from L + A some of their favorite parts of their big day. “Other than saying “I do”, we both loved the small amount of time we spent alone together before being announced at the reception. We were both shaky with excitement and adrenaline and to be able to spend those few moments alone together and just soak in the joy we were both feeling was SO special. It felt like the one moment we were able to really slow down time because the rest of the night was an amazing blur!”
Advice for all our upcoming couples - “Choose vendors and a wedding day team that make you feel loved and special. Every single one of our vendors made us feel like the only couple in the world and our heart warms when we think about all the hard work they put into making our day perfect. We truly feel like we’re friends with our vendors and are so grateful to them. It’s so important that you feel so surrounded by love on your special day. The love the whole vendor and Emerson team showed us will be something we remember forever and ever.”
