Meet Alyssa + Alex! We had so much fun getting to come alongside + celebrate them step into marriage! We’ll never get over how special it is to watch two families become one. The details they chose for their wedding day felt so romantic + timeless - A’s lace wedding dress, their vintage inspired wedding cake, the black + white stationery suite, and the vintage rug they shared their vows on! We loved it all!
Here’s their love story - “7 years ago, a new dating app called Tinder hit the scene. After going on numerous failed dates, Alex and I matched and the app was deleted from both of our phones immediately. After some time getting to know each other, we met in June 2016. Soon after we became serious, Alex got approved for a job transfer to Austin that he put in for before we met. We knew that if we could last long distance, then we could get through anything. After a year of being long distance, Alex moved back to Dallas and we moved in together. 6 years later, I was taking a nap and when I went to get something from the laundry room, there was a teddy bear holding a rose that had a diamond ring on the stem waiting for me. When I picked up the bear and turned around, Alex was on one knee. He had a whole speech prepared and asked me to marry him. We then went to the top of the parking garage of the apartment complex in I was living at when we first met and where our love story began. We took in the sights of the Dallas skyline and celebrated while taking pictures to capture the moment. We spent the day with the biggest smiles on our faces and told our families the next day. It was truly the best weekend ever!”
What drew A + A to choosing The Emerson for their best day ever - “When looking for a wedding venue we wanted something that was truly reflective of us as a couple. With Alex being from the country, and me from the city - The Emerson was perfect. We both come from religious backgrounds, but did not necessarily want to get married in a traditional church. When we saw the white chapel, we knew that the Emerson was where we wanted to spend the most special day of our lives.”
