Meet Taylor + David! We adored them from the moment we met them on their tour – so kind and so easy to love! Their wedding day carried so many sweet moments. We’re so grateful to all the vendors who made this beautiful day happen! It was such an honor to host their BEST DAY EVER in our space.
One of our favorite parts of being a part of such precious moments in our couples’ lives is hearing their love stories! Here’s T + D’s – “Me & David were paired to lead a small group together through our church with one other girl. We all became great friends! At church retreat a few months later, me & David realized we had feelings for each other. One day a few texts were exchanged & we finally admitted our feelings for each other. We decided to pursue a relationship, & the rest is history!”
The DFW area is full of unique + beautiful wedding venues, so we always feel so humbled + grateful when couples choose to get married at E. Here’s what drew T + D to our space – “The Emerson was truly everything we could’ve ever dreamed of. My mom had always told me she envisioned me &/or my sister getting married in a little white chapel. But overall, every bit of the Emerson fit into mine & David’s style & vision. The black & white is so classy & beautiful, & all of the lighting is just gorgeous. I knew I would regret not getting married in such a magical place. We absolutely loved it!!!”
Time and time again, our couples tell us how special + surreal their first looks were. T had three magical first looks – one with her dad, one with her bridesmaids, and one with her groom. We loved hearing more from her perspective of how much each of those moments meant to her – “My favorite part of our wedding day was honestly getting to have our first looks – David, my dad, my bridesmaids, it was all so wonderful. It was more than just them seeing me in a dress, but the significance of me & David actually getting married, like I was in a wedding dress to MARRY the love of my life! It was just so surreal. My most memorable moment was my first look with David. I’ve only ever seen him cry once, & seeing him cry over the joy of us being able to marry each other & become one flesh was truly the sweetest thing. I’ll never forget the way he looked at me & kissed my hands, I could just visibly see how much he loved me & it gave me soooo many butterflies. He’s just a dream. There was so much beauty in wearing that dress & knowing my life was changing for the good to become David’s bride & go through life serving the Lord & each other forever & ever. Getting to sharing that with the people dearest to my heart was something I will treasure forever. So the first looks were the moments I think it became real to me, & the people I was able to do that with.”
Some wedding planning advice from T – “My advice to those planning now would be to enjoy the process. It can be so stressful, especially if you’re mostly doing it yourself, but it all goes by so fast. Enjoy the planning, enjoy your people, & allow the people who offer to help to do what they can! I would also remind them that while it is such a beautiful day however you do it, it is still just a day that is the beginning of forever with the one you love, & THAT’S the fun part. Don’t allow all the stresses of a wedding take away from the fact that it is simply representing you getting to be with the one you love forever!”
