Meet Katrina + James! Their early spring wedding was so precious from start to finish! The flowers, the way the sunlight was pouring through all the windows, the bridesmaid dress colors, the way K + J looked at each other… it all was so lovely + breathtaking! We were so grateful to be a part of it all!

Here’s their love story - “On August 7th, 2017, when they were 16 years old, James and Katrina met at the Midway Airport in Chicago, Illinois. They became instant best friends on the HOPE Youth Corps, where James caught feelings for a very disinterested Katrina who had eyes for someone else. For the next year, they FaceTimed regularly and visited each other with their mutual friends. The following summer at Camp Hope for Kids, James and Katrina spent the summer together again. Towards the end of the summer, Katrina realized that James was the best boy she had ever known and very quickly fell in love. For the first half of their senior year of high school, they texted and talked on the phone constantly and wanted to date. When all of a sudden, in January of 2019, Katrina broke things off with James and told him that she didn't think they should talk anymore. Throughout college application and decision season, they took a break from each other and were not expecting to start things up again. When the biggest surprise of the century happened, and coincidentally (i promise!), they ended up at the same college, with the same full-tuition scholarship, both in the honors college, and placed on the same floor in the same dorm building, 5 doors down the hall from each other. After a semester of being best friends again and hanging out every day, they started dating officially on February 23, 2020. After over 2 years of long-distance dating and across-the-street dating, summers at camp, hundreds of covid tests, hospitalizations, and changes of plans, James proposed to his high school sweetheart!”
